Frank Bielec of Trading Spaces to give homeowners tips for jazzing up their homes this Fall
September 3, 2004 -- Frank will be offering "how-to" sessions including simple tips for jazzing up homes for Fall. This Home Show is his first appearance on Long Island, and it will give attendees a special glimpse into his style and behind-the-scenes information from one of America's favorite home makeover programs.
The Fall Long Island Home Improvement and Remodeling Expo is Long Island's favorite Home Show and features more than 300 exhibitors, how-to sessions with experts and celebrities, new product demonstrations, giveaways and contests. The Show is Long Island's favorite place for consumers to find everything they need for home improvement under one roof.
Frank's flair for crafting unique pieces and designing rooms makes him one of the most popular speakers at Home Shows across the nation. His extensive artistic background and ability to incorporate artistic elements into homes is one of the reasons behind his tremendous popularity. Through his careers as an elementary school teacher, a florist and a freelance artist, Frank learned to combine his arts-and-crafts talents with his business and education.
Now on Trading Spaces, Frank is always challenging guests with arts-and-crafts projects that test their creativity, teach them new techniques and give them inspiration. Frank appeared on Trading Spaces' first episode in 2000 and is now a regular and one of TV's favorite designers.
"Frank is one of the most admired people on television today. We are very pleased to have the opportunity to bring him to Long Island to meet his fans. It will certainly be a thrill for us to have him provide information directly to people who are looking for ways to improve or redesign their living spaces," said Show Manager Karen Marconi.
Show hours are Friday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.; Saturday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.; and Sunday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Admission to the Show is $8, plus a $1.50 Nassau County surcharge. Children 12 and under are admitted free. Discount coupons are available at local businesses and participating 7-Eleven stores, or go to King Kullen for your BEST ticket deal. Individuals who bring a nonperishable food item for Long Island Cares will receive $1 off admission.
